The Fisher ratio is often used to enumerate the degree of overlap of two distributions. The procedure CalcFishQ calculates the Fisher ratio from the means and the standard deviations of the two distributions.

Hint: If the sum of the variances (squared standard deviations) falls below 10-6, a value of 10-6 is substituted for it.
