The unit CFORM contains a Delphi™/C++Builder™ class (TMolForm) which supports the handling and display of molecular formulas. In addition to displaying chemical formulas using the usual notation (subscripted number of atoms, superscripted isotopic labels), CForm also provides several methods supporting some calculations around chemical formulas:
- calculating the molecular weight
- comparison of formulas
- finding formulas for a given molecular weight
- scanning strings for molecular formulas
